January Scrap Club

Hi Everyone!  Thought I'd take a break from all my Leadership posts and share with you the layouts that my Scrapbooking Club worked on this month.  I use My Digital Studio to come up with the layout and email that to everyone in my club so that they know what the general layout will be, how many pictures they'll need, the size of the pictures, etc... I personally prefer to re-create the layouts the "old-fashion" way though.  If you're interested in trying out My Digital Studio, contact me and I'll hook you up with a 30 day FREE trial!

Here are the two layouts we did:

This layout is of my two big guys.  During our trip to Tobermory, while exploring the Flowerpot Island, they came across a "throne" looking rock formation.  They both took a turn sitting on it and I thought since it's their birthdays they can be "king"!

Here are my little guys at the end of the summer enjoying one last trip to Wonderland.  They absolutely LOVE the splash park and we will most definitely be going again once the weather permits.  As for my big guys, they were off on the big kid slides so unfortunately there aren't any pictures of them.

Thanks for looking!

I'm Back!

WOW! I can't believe we're already into the second week of June.  I am so sorry that I haven't posted for the entire month of May.  Things have just been extremely hectic here.  I've been getting ready for craft shows that a friend and I are participating in, we're getting some landscaping done (which is a nightmare in itself), and of course with the nicer weather and summer upon us there are family responsibilites.

There are just so many things to get caught up on and I don't know where to start....I'll post a couple of times a week until I'm caught up..lol.

Here are the scrapbook layouts that my group did last month.

Valentines Day Page

March Page

Both these pages were created with my My Digital Studio program as a template, then we recreated it.

MDS'ing....again!

I am completely loving this program..it's a great tool to whip up layouts and play around with.  Mind you, I am not a fan of digital scrapbooking which means that these pages will probably never see ink, but I will try things out and recreate them.  In my opinion, a scrapbook is meant to have layers...real 3D layers with embellishments and handwritten journalling...but that doesn't mean that I won't play around with My Digital Studio.  It's great when you don't know where to start.  This way you can come up with a complete scrapbook or page, then go out and get all the things you need, cuz who am I kidding?!  This hobby can take a load out of your pocketbook.  So now instead of ordering by the page, I can compile my list and have it all here in front of me, especially since when I'm on a roll I just hate to not have that extra little something that completes the page.  Anyways, enough of my rambling....here's what I created.

These photos were taken when we went away for Family Day long weekend.  We stayed at Bayview Wildwood Resort and absolutely loved it.  They had activities for all the kids, and that's a dilemna for us since they are in different age groups, and the best part is all the meals were included which means it was a vacation even for Mommy!
