Love Is In The Air

Wow!  I can't believe how long it's been since I made a proper entry!  I am so sorry to have neglected my blog especially since I was going to try and post regularly.  Ok...seriously this time...an entry at least once a week!!!  You are all my witnesses! lol

Friday night I went out with my wonderful SCS friends for the first time this year! WOOHOO!!  Since it's so close to Valentine's Day I thought what would be more fitting then some Valentine treats, right?

This was so easy to make and sooo cute!  I can't take credit for it though since it is totally case'd from something I saw on someone else's blog.  Unfortunately I can't find it now so I can't give the creator proper credit.  I was originally looking for a way to use the heart punch where there still would be enough space at the bottom to stamp an image but couldn't find anything that could help me but stumbled upon this instead.

I started by mounting the 3" Tempting Turquoise square to the 3 1/4" Real Red square (only add adhesive to three of the four sides...you'll find out why in a bit!)  I then punched out an oval using the Large Oval punch just a little less than half way down.  Then using the heart from the Sweethearts set, I stamped the image on a 2 3/4" Whisper White square.  Using the Full Heart punch, I punched out the center of the heart, inserted the heart cup, and mounted onto my base. What was the point of punching out the oval, you ask??  It's to access the candy!!!  Using a 2" x 2 3/4" piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock and a Real Red heart, I created a pull out tab.  It slides in between the Tempting Turquoise and Real Red layers where there is no adhesive! I stamped a sentiment from Pocket Silhouettes on the heart and added  small turquoise and red hearts to the front for as the finishing touches.
