March Stamp Camp Technique

Hello Fellow Stampers...what a change from last week!  I can't believe that in my last post I said that the weather was so beautiful and now it's as grey and dreary as...well, let's just say it's really blah out!  Perfect day to be crafting though.

So last month I taught the ladies in my club the Reflection Technique.  I love the effect this has and how simple it really is to do with very few extra supplies.

I inked the tree image from 'Lovely As A Tree' in black StazOn ink and stamped it onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I then inked the stamp again and stamped that onto a piece of acetate.  Then I quickly turned over and aligned the piece of acetate with the already stamped image.  When the image was where I liked it, I rubbed the piece of acetate, transferring the image onto the cardstock.  Using sponge daubers, I then sponged my sun and background.  Dazzling Diamonds was the finishing touch as the snow on the ground.

Thanks for looking!

Supplies

February Stamp Camp

Hi Fellow Stampers!!  I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend!  What a tease it was here in Southern Ontario...it rained for the better part of Friday and Saturday, just enough to make us think that spring was on its way.  But NOPE...we were hit with another blast of winter late Saturday night...now we're blanketed in the white fluffy stuff again.  Oh well...soon enough it'll be spring but in the meantime we'll enjoy the snow while it lasts.

On to the crafty side of things, here are the cards that we made in February for our Stamp Camp.

The first card was made using the Medallion stamp.  I inked it Melon Mambo, then used my sponge daubers to add additional colours to it, I used Rich Razzleberry and Always Artichoke.  The image was stamped on Whisper White that was matted on Melon Mambo with a Always Artichoke base.  For a little bling, a rhinestone was added to the center of the image.

The second card was made using the Rock and Roll technique.  The background was created using the Sanded background stamp.  Then using the flower from Eastern Blooms, I inked the flower in Pumpkin Pie and 'rolled' it in Bravo Burgandy, the stamped it on the image panel.  That step was repeated a couple of times and to add some colour I added some leaves in Old Olive.

Thanks for looking!
