January Stamp Camp Project

Hi Everyone!  TGIF!!!  It's been a really long (but great) day!  We started the day off with a Valentine's Party at a friend's house, where the kids got to make a gift and card for dad.  They were all so cute!  My girlfriend 'borrowed' this awesome idea that we make heart shaped cookies, poke a hole through it before baking, and then when they were done we strung them with licorice laces to make necklaces.  So adorable!!!  But not many survived long enough to be fashionable accessories before being gobbled up! Then we made cards for daddy (of course they HAD to be handmade!!!)  I will have to get permission from the other moms and/or do some editing on the pictures before I post.  Oh and the kids also made their own pizzas for lunch!  Did I mention that there were 9 kids all under the age of 4???  So needless to say us mommies needed a cup of coffee or two to keep up!

Then I took my kids skating for the first time (well at least for the younger two) and lemme tell ya my back is definitely feeling the love now!  It was so much fun to see how much they were enjoying themselves but I think I will take the younger ones when it's not so busy.

So after a day filled with hearts and love I decided that I will share with you the project that my stamp club made for January's class.  It was a Valentine's Day gift for our significant others....

First I'll start off with the card.  It's a Double Slider card and the tutorial for it can be found over at Splitcoaststampers.  Here's a look at it 'opened'.

As you can see there's a smaller front panel and a larger back panel that comes out to reveal a whole lot of love!  I used a number of different sets to complete this card and I really like the way it came together.   Now I know I said that it's supposed to be for our SO's and I did try to come up with a more masculine colour combo but to me Valentine's Day screams RED and PINK!!! lol.

As for our project, it's a cute little mini scrapbook/photo album that can be carried around to show off pictures of the kids.  Here's a closer look.

This adorable little album can hold up to 12 pictures and is the perfect little size!

Happy Valentine's Day and thanks for looking!
